NIFES 2007 is NIFES’ 24th
National Conference and the 4th National Students’ Mission
Conference. It is a biblically thought-out Missions Conference aimed at
enhancing a greater understanding of the multi-dimensional perspectives for
mission involvement.
In our world today, there is a dire
need for “ground troops” to be practically involved in the area of providing
services that will ensure adequate responses to the cries, needs, challenges
and expectations of the nations of the world. The sure way of winning the
nations, we believe, is through empowering “Lights” - energetic,
resourceful and educated youths - to engage the nations in their critical
areas of needs. Such person’s response should be to practically
proclaim (witnessing) and demonstrate (through social
action), the gospel. This informed the theme for NIFES 2007 –
“Light to the Nations.”
NIFES 2007 seeks to
challenge participants to engage in acts of service within a mission context
in relation to the needs and challenges faced by peoples/nations of the
world. It is aimed at creating the urgency of the task of world
evangelization in the hearts of our Students, Staff and Associates and
helping them to be missionaries at heart in whatever context of calling they
may find themselves. We shall therefore be exploring the nature of the
global challenge of world missions as well as recruit desperately needed
harvest force for this divine task in its multi-dimensional scope. Not less
than 10,000 participants form Nigeria, IFES member movements in Anglo and
Franco-Phone Africa and beyond are expected for this conference. Plan to be
there It promises to be a milestone event in the calendar of the Christian
Church. At NIFES 2007, you are sure to increase the capacity
of your inner man, get a God-given vision for your life and discover your
place and purpose as a “Light to the Nations.” Miss it and
miss out! |
